Abstract

|
The eye and its adenexa may be involved in inflammation caused by the invasion of nearly any infectious agent.
Inasmuch as the topic of infectious ocular diseases related with systemic infectious diseases is so vast an attempt has been made here to limit. This discussion to the more typical ocular manifestations of bacterial, viral, fungal, spirochetal, rickettsial and parasitic infections and to exclude conditions with nonspecific ocular manifestations.
